Other people ask “what if?” too.

Lyra Rebane

Jane Ori

Temani Afif

I'm only scratching the surface. Some people in our community take this to a whole other level. Lyra Rebane used modern CSS features to recreate a fully functioning x86 CPU 100% in CSS. Jane Ori, amazing CSS experimenter, pushes CSS specs to their limits, often exposing things that should never have been possible in the first place, like revealing your IP address in CSS only. Temani Afif, another very prolific CSS hacker, explores new UI features and combines them together to unlock new possibilities, like CSS-only diagrams which you can move around. They push against the boundaries of new features. They take something that's only just becoming possible and abuse it until it does things nobody originally expected. They don't take "no" for an answer. They ask, "What if?"
